Songs from Games

Recently I told you about my games, which I like very much. Now I would like to tell you about one of their virtues, their music.
The music is varied and everyone can find something that catches their fancy. I’m not including all the songs from the game, you know, how many tunes there are for one game, I’ve created this article to share with you the music I like. In addition, you’ll be able to find something you like) So, enjoy listening.

We will start with the game Ib

In this game, let it be in the genre of horror, in the music there are unusual nice melodies. Let it be a xylophone, piano, guitar, etc., but the melodies capture your attention. As if pulling you somewhere that there is some kind of mystery or riddle.

Satsuriku no Tenshi Game

This game is also in the genre of horror, but here the music starts playing in another way, so there is a guitar riff and heavy sounds. Each character has his own melody, they are similar in some respects, but also have some differences. So it won’t be boring for you to play)

Game Forest of Drizzling Rain

Here the melodies have become more traditional, that is typical for the country where the game was created. But the sounds of mystery and danger are in them.

Sally Face Game

The game itself is unusual, we play as a teenager in a strange town and with strange neighbors and residents of the town. So the music isn’t standard either, but that doesn’t make it worse. On the contrary, it only draws the player to keep playing. This game and its music is sure to please fans of rock or heavy music. But there are also calmer tunes. So play and let the music draw you in to play.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game

Most of you know this game and I’m sure you have heard the melodies from this game. But I just couldn’t add them here, so enjoy listening to the game’s tunes for your favorite witch from Rivia.

Assassin’s Creed Origins game

Just listen to the game’s motifs where we travel through an ancient civilization. Oh those motifs of Ancient Egypt, I decided to share them with you. So enjoy listening)

The game Layers of Fear

A horror game that is addictive with its psychological plot, but its music is just awesome. I like it so much, but I can tell you that at first you will think that it is not for this game. But I can assure you, this music creates a much greater contrast between the soundtrack of the game and the game itself. The music will soothe you, and at the same time, stress you out. And what will happen in the game will scare you even more. Just listen to the motifs of the game)

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

The music in this game reminds you a little bit of the motifs in the game about the witch doctor. Same mystery, but with a touch of the nature of the world around you. Of course there are mysterious murders and paranormal phenomena happening here, so the music is just right, it is neutral, but it sets the right style for your game.

Dear esther game

The game itself resembles a romp through beautiful places and searching for notes. There aren’t any scrimmages, or great mystery. So the music here is purely to support the image of the beautiful place you are exploring.

And the last game of the day is Kholat

Also a walking game, but there’s already a mystery that you’ll be solving. And also there are some creepy moments, so the music should be appropriate. Of all the tunes I have chosen you only 2, but the rest of the tunes you can hear while you play this game.

Top 10 games I’m ready to play again and again (Part 2)

Well, here’s the second part of the article. The first part can be found HERE.

6. The Sims.

I’m sure everyone knows this game too. The Sims is a single-player video game in life simulation genre, developed by Maxis team under the guidance of game designer Will Wright and published by Electronic Arts. Some may like it and some may not, but this game is unique and so far I haven’t seen anything like it. And yes I started playing it when there were sims 2 discs, but now I like creating different characters and going through different hobbies, interests or plots. Your personal dollhouse)

The Sims 3 is a single-player life simulation video game developed by Maxis under the direction of game designer Rod Humble and published by Electronic Arts. In the U.S. the game was released June 2, 2009 for the operating systems of personal computers – Windows and Mac OS X. In Russia, The Sims 3 came out June 5, 2009, its Russian localization was the company “SoftClub. In addition, in 2010 the simulator was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS.

The player controls one or more characters – sims, takes care of their welfare, developing their skills, strengthen relationships with other characters, promotes their careers and equipping their homes. There is no storyline, and The Sims 3 can theoretically be played forever.

In The Sims 4 there is no clear plot, and gameplay is non-linear and has no set end goal. The player controls up to eight personally created or chosen characters, directing them to perform various activities, such as satisfying their own needs, earning money and creating relationships with other characters. The construction editor allows you to create a building in the desired style and furnish it, after which player-controlled sims can live in it.

7. Layers of Fear.

One of my favorite games, it just has what I like best, it’s puzzles and riddles that you can solve, or rather you absolutely have to solve. Walking around the house of a psychopathic artist, his suffering and his life, we all learn in stages. The atmosphere of the game scared me in places, and yes the screamers too, but it was the music that kept me playing. By the way, this game has a direct sequel, playing as the daughter of the protagonist of the first part.)
Layers of Fear is a computer game in the psychological horror genre, developed by the Polish studio Bloober Team and published by Aspyr. The game was released on February 16, 2016 for personal computers on Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems, as well as for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles. On February 21, 2018, Layers of Fear: Legacy, the Nintendo Switch version of the game, was released.

In Layers of Fear, the player controls an artist with a mental disorder as he tries to complete his masterpiece. The first-person gameplay is an exploration of a Victorian mansion in order to find the items needed to create a painting and to uncover disturbing secrets about the life of the artist and his family. The house through which the player navigates reflects the unstable state of the protagonist and constantly changes the setting to illustrate the artist’s growing madness.

On August 2, 2016, the Layers of Fear: Inheritance add-on was released, which is a story-driven sequel to the game. In the DLC, the player controls the artist’s daughter, who returns to her old home. As she explores it, she relives the dark memories of her childhood and tries to make sense of her father’s past to find a way to forgive him.
The player takes on the role of an artist who returns to his studio. His initial goal is to finish his masterpiece, and the player’s role is to figure out how this task can be accomplished. The player explores the Victorian mansion, exploring it to find visual clues and various puzzles. At the beginning of the game, the house seems ordinary, but as the story progresses, the setting around the player changes, often accompanied by scrimmages. These changes provide new puzzles.

The game is divided into 6 chapters, in each of which it is necessary to find the item needed to complete the picture. Also, while exploring the house, the player can find various objects, notes, drawings that reveal certain aspects of the artist’s life, including the family tragedy that occurred. Some of them are presented in the form of dialog memories.

In this game you can get one of the 3 main endings, all your actions will affect which ending you get. There are several episodes in the game, although the location of this game is all the same house, but with each episode it will change so that you will think you are in different places. I highly recommend it to everyone who likes psychological walkthroughs, with elements of horror.

8. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

Continuing the theme of games, walkthroughs with puzzle solving and with elements of mystic and horror) This next game can capture you with beautiful scenery, and ways to confuse you so that you will find a way back to the right path for a very long time. All those who have dreamed of feeling like a kind of detective who investigates not only missing, but also murders and conspiracies.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a computer game in the quest genre, developed by the Polish studio The Astronauts. The protagonist of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a private detective Paul Prospero, who goes in search of disappeared boy named Ethan Carter. His investigation leads him to the quiet town of Red Creek Valley, Wisconsin, where something strange is going on. The game has an open world in which you can travel (with some artificial limitations).

As a character explores the game world, he or she finds various evidence items related to the events that took place there. The main character’s psychic abilities allow him to visualize these events. To do this, it is necessary to find all the clues located nearby. Having found any important item, the player gets a clue about the place with which the item is connected. Some items are allowed to take with them to use later, but there is no inventory in the game, so the player will have to remember what he took.

When enough clues are found, the player can reconstruct the sequence of events. To this end, he needs to place numbers above each character, denoting the chronology of the actions committed by the episode’s participants. As a reward, the player receives a story scene.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has an open world that can be freely explored. The player is unobtrusively guided – to solve the next murder, you must first solve the previous one. If the player misses any side quest, he will see a map of the area with all the important action locations marked before the finale.

9. Dear esther

Once again we have an open world game, but here this game will be interesting for those who want to wander around the beautiful places and just pick up the pieces of someone’s story. Beautiful scenery, a world for the survey of the large, quiet quiet, there is no horror here, only maybe some mystery of these places. And the mystery of the letters you will find along the way.

Dear Esther is an experimental computer game developed by an independent studio The Chinese Room for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Originally Dear Esther was a Source engine modification of the shooter Half-Life 2. It was released on July 29, 2008. The reworked and updated version Dear Esther was released on the 14th of February, 2012 and distributed on Steam and GOG.
The game is set on a desert island and accompanied by a voice-over narration, reading fragments of a letter addressed to a woman named Esther. There are no puzzles or enemies in the game.

Gameplay consists of moving around locations with a first-person view. The goal is to get to the radio tower with the flashing red light. As the player moves around the island, there are monologues that tell this or that part of the narrative. In particular, the narrator mentions several main characters: a man named Donnelly, who discovered the island; a certain Paul, a drunk driver who had an accident that supposedly caused Esther’s death; and Jacobson, a shepherd who lived on the island in the eighteenth century. As the player explores the island, he discovers various abandoned buildings, the remains of housewares and shipwrecks, and a network of underground caves, the walls of which are littered with fluorescent paint painted chemical formulae, diagrams, and pictures of chains of neurons and bacteria. From time to time, faint, dark human figures can be spotted in remote corners of the island, but they disappear from view when you try to examine them more closely or get closer. As the game progresses, the narrator’s monologues and thoughts blur and change, making it increasingly difficult to recognize which character is speaking.

10. Kholat

I don’t know if you’ve heard this story or not, but we have one of the most mysterious mysteries in our country – This, the story of the “Dyatlov Pass”. The expedition, which ended in tragedy, but there are so many mysteries to this day that we may never be able to know the whole truth.
But I must say right away, even though the game is based on real stories, in itself it is a story of the developers of the game and their writers, you should not think that everything that happens in the game was true)

This game was based exactly on the different theories of this mystery. This game will draw you with its unusual visions and beautiful landscapes, even if you don’t know about what happened, it won’t prevent you from enjoying the game. So, at least take a look at it, I’m sure you will be hooked.
Kholat is an indie survival horror game developed by Polish developers IMGN.PRO, in which the player controls the protagonist who follows the steps of a group of nine Russian college students who disappeared in February 1959 on Kholat Syahla. The game is based on the Dyatlov Pass incident involving ten Russian students, nine of whom went missing at Holat-Syahl and were found dead within four months (the tenth student returned early due to illness). Holatchahl (“Holat Syahl”) is a Russian transliteration of the word Holatchahl, which means “Dead Mountain” in Mansi.

The game was released on the Steam Store on June 9, 2015. It was released on the Nintendo Switch on May 14, 2020. It was also released in Japan on September 17, 2020.

The authors came up with their own, highly mystical version of the death of the Dyatlov group. As soon as we get to the foot of the mountain, we hear the voice of the man-who-speaks-Shaun-Bean. He speaks with frightening riddles, then demands that we hurry to find him (otherwise I’ll give you hell), or appeals directly to the player, appealing to his conscience…

Further the scriptwriters mix in a bunch of religious cults of the Mansi (at every step there are pagan totems and temples), myths and facts about the “Valley of Death” (it is actually in Yakutia) and notes with headings like “Revived corpses in Siberia”.
This has its own atmosphere, the constant expectation of something amiss. The Unreal 4 engine gives you a very realistic picture, you literally feel how cold, dark and uncomfortable it is. The sound also helps: whispers and screams add to the creepiness at the right moments, and perfectly matched oppressive music fades in and out, then pulses hysterically in your headphones.

And it’s worth getting to any of the “landmarks,” as particularly unnerving events happen. A monster will appear out of the orange fog, making you look for somewhere to hide, the doors will start slamming, or the whole house will start trembling nervously…

Top 10 games I’m ready to play again and again (Part 1)

I already had a computer when I was a kid, so computer games, I had. But I’m not a gamer like most people. Now I play most of the different games, different genres, but there are games that I am ready to replay many times) But it was from childhood to the end of college, I played a little and looked for games that I was interested in playing and pass their stories. After all, we all had different moods at different times, and the games we want to play also adjust to us. So there will be different games here, of different genres. And yes, each game also fascinated me with its music, if you want, I’ll write a separate article about the music from the games given articles.
Enjoy reading)

What’s up? My story I’ll start with the games, which, although all a little different storyline, but very similar in both graphics and interface.

1.IB, Satsuriku no Tenshi, Forest of Drizzling Rain

I decided to list only my favorite games of these subjects, as these games are a lot, and all I can not pass. And yes they may seem to you games for children, but I do not think so, as these games are horror, albeit not with the scrimmers that you are used to. These games are exciting with interesting characters and story. And also the graphics, which will be unusual for you.

Ib is a 2012 free-to-play psychological horror video game published and developed by kouri for Microsoft Windows. Players control the titular character from a top-down perspective, trapped in an eldritch art museum, later revealed to be called The Fabricated World, where they meet the characters Harry and Mary. Together, they set their sights on escaping the gallery and returning to the real world.

Ib developer kouri’s debut game, developed using RPG Maker 2000. The art and sprites were created by kouri, and the game was made in a two-dimensional style.

Ib was a critical and commercial success after its release in 2012, and in 2014 it was downloaded over 2 million times in Japan and the United States. The game was praised by critics and viewers alike, especially for its gameplay, story, and characters. It has since become iconic, and Ib is credited with helping popularize the use of its engine in developing games without role-playing elements.

This game captivated me with such a cool story at the time, it was a game I was introduced to as a student. And yes, I was still a fan of anime, which for these games, was a big plus. It wasn’t always possible to download myself a game from other countries. It was also unusual to make the main character a girl of about 10 who is hiding from the bloody mannequins in a museum) The very idea that the paintings we see in museums sometimes have a dark mystical history. And yes there are many endings that depend on your actions.

Satsuriku no Tenshi

Satsuriku no Tenshi (殺戮の天使 Satsuriku no Tenshi, Angel of Bloodshed), also known as Angels of Death, is a computer game in the quest genre, developed by single Japanese developer Makoto Sanada under the alias 星屑 KRNKRN (Jap. Hoshikuzu KRNKRN) and originally published through Den-fami Nico Game Magazine for Microsoft Windows in 2015. Satsuriku no Tenshi was created in RPG Maker VX and uses the corresponding engine. The Nintendo Switch version was released in the summer of 2018. The action game, made in the spirit of psychological horror and playing with the clichés of slasher films.

The story takes place in an unknown abandoned building filled with traps and bloodthirsty homicidal maniacs; its protagonists are a thirteen-year-old girl named Rachel Gardner and a twenty-year-old young man named Zach.

Each floor of the building has its own host, the so-called “Angel.” The entire floor space is called the play area, within which the “game” takes place. The goal of the “Angel” in this game is to catch and kill his victim, the goal of the victim is to escape from the killer and get out of there alive.

Each character in this game, will be different from the others and thus you will find your own hero. And yes here you have only one ending, but it’s interesting. And yes I advise you after the game to read the manga, or at least watch the anime. Since the game a little bit omitted details of the characters. But it really wants to know them better.

Forest of Drizzling Rain

If you like ghost stories, then this is the game for you. It’s just that the whole story will be tied to them.
You are in for a story about a girl named Shiori, who had to face a hard ordeal in her life – she lost her parents, their life was taken by a car accident. Totally broken, Shiori can’t cope with her loneliness, and the summer vacations give a lot of free time for unhappy thoughts. So, using a photo found in the family album, Shiori decides to go in search of her other relatives or at least some information about them. And her way is to the village of Azakawa. But what does this village and its inhabitants hide? And why did Shiori’s parents leave the place and cut off all contact with it? Gradually, you’ll find the answers to these questions.
In this game all your actions will influence the game`s ending, because of this you can get several endings.

2. Sally Face

Sally Face is an indie-adventure game created by Steve Gabri aka Portable Moose. The game is about the titular protagonist Sal Fisher (otherwise known as Sally Face), a boy with a prosthetic face who investigates local murders with his friends. The game consists of 5 episodes that were released between 2016 and 2019. Sally Face was also released on Nintendo Switch in 2021. Sally Face is an online game featuring characters such as Sal Fisher, Larry Johnson, Todd Morrison, Ashley Campbell, Travis Phelps, and many others.

This game interested me because of its compelling story and plot. Demons, sects, enemies everywhere, but who is your friend? Everything depends on you and your actions and skills to find and solve riddles) The game consists of several episodes, you also learn the past and future of some characters, all characters are interesting and with unique stories about their lives and each has its own character. I will tell you the story of only the first episode, I do not want to tell you everything, because it will not be very interesting to play.

But maybe you will be interested) Play it, I am sure the music and the drawing, as well as the storyline you will definitely addict. And yes the puzzles there are not ah tee, but how sometimes complex)

Episode 1: Strange Neighbors

Sal Fisher, a 15-year-old boy with a prosthetic face, moves in with his father in the Addison Apartments building in the town of Knockfell. The day before they arrive, another resident, Mrs. Sanderson, is murdered. Sal explores the apartment and meets the other tenants, including Larry Johnson, who reveals that he witnessed the murder. Sal helps Larry find evidence that one of the other tenants, Charlie Mansfield, was the killer. They present the evidence to the police and he is arrested.

3.The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I’m sure everyone knows this game, but I’ll tell you a little bit about it, too. After all, I started to play it again when I abandoned it a long time ago.
“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” – a computer game in the action/RPG genre, developed by the Polish studio CD Projekt RED. Released on May 19, 2015 on Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, then on October 15, 2019 on Nintendo Switch, it is a narrative sequel to The Witcher (2007) and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (2011). This is the third game set in the literary universe of the The Witcher book series created by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, and the latest to tell the story of the adventures of Heralt of Rivia.

The dark fantasy game, whose world is based on Slavic mythology, tells the story of the witch Heralt of Rivia, a monster hunter, whose adopted daughter Ciri is in danger, being pursued by the Wild Hunt – a mysterious otherworldly force, whose mystery is revealed as the game progresses. Many of the plot details reference the books written by Sapkowski, but the plot remains tied to the first two installments and sums up the trilogy started by the first game, which came out eight years earlier. Unlike the previous games, The Witcher 3 takes place in an open world and focuses on using Geralt’s combat and detective skills to fulfill orders and explore the environment. It’s all part of a multi-level main quest with many secondary missions that can be completed with 36 different endings.

This game is fascinating with its open world, the characters, and especially Geralt’s conversations. Oh his “Zaraza” or “Cholera” just love it) Music in the game is just awesome, we have for the Russian players, very well adapted almost all the songs in Russian, so it’s very nice to listen to it. Although I heard the original, too. But it’s always better to hear it in your native language. About the monsters I don’t need to say much, I will say this, there are a lot of them and very detailed. There are a few of my favorites that I’ve already made several figures of them. I love the local folklore and the slightly mysterious side of the witch’s world and how they struggle with all the adversity and how strong the friendship between the characters is. All of this makes me want to keep playing this game. I hope you have already played it, if not play it by all means) whether you like it or not, it already depends on each of you, but you should try to play it.

4.Assassin’s Creed Origins

The series of Assassin games is diverse, but why did I choose this series for myself? Because I’m a fanatic since childhood from the mystique of ancient Egypt, and here I have the opportunity, at least as myself feel like an explorer and defender of this country. Well, yes, and more battles) About the game series Assassin do not have much to say, we all know how it looks like and how the game, then it all depends on what era the player wants to get to himself. I have played many games in this series, but most of all I liked Ancient Egypt, Greece and Scandinavia. All of these game series I play periodically.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is a multiplatform Action/RPG developed by Ubisoft Montreal Studios and published by Ubisoft. It is the tenth game in the game series of the same name. The game was released on October 27, 2017 on Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

The game is set in Hellenistic Egypt during the reign of Cleopatra. The protagonist is Bayek, a Medjai who protects his people from threats. The open world allows players to move freely through Egypt. The game is played in third person, and its world can be explored on foot, on horseback, on a camel or by boat.
The events of the game unfold simultaneously in the present and the past.

In 2017, the Order of the Templars, thanks to the Shroud of Eden they obtained two years ago, is ready to recreate the Forerunner in order to gain control of the planet. Violet da Costa turns out to be a member of the Organs of the First Will and has been helping Juno be reborn all along. The Assassins, according to Bishop, plan to take action to retrieve the Particle of Eden.

The player controls the Egyptian explorer Layla Hassan, who explores the memory of the last Medjay, Bayek of Siva and his wife Aya of Alexandria. Together they help Cleopatra in the civil war against her brother Ptolemy XIII and lay the foundation for the Brotherhood of Assassins.

5. Spore

I don’t know if you heard about this game or not, but you just have to play it. At least try it! Let it be pretty old, but this game is unique) Here you will feel like a god!
Spore is a computer game in the God Simulator genre, developed by Maxis studio under the guidance of Will Wright and published by Electronic Arts for Windows and macOS. Spore invites the player to take an evolving species of living beings through a series of stages, from a single-celled microorganism to an interstellar civilization; the game scales accordingly from a single planet to an entire galaxy. Spore’s gameplay changes noticeably with each new stage, drawing elements from games of various genres, whether action, computer role-playing games or real-time strategy. The developers of Spore have used procedural generation mechanisms to create many different and non-repeating living creatures and the planets they inhabit. As a single-player game, Spore also contained an asynchronous online component: player-created content-such as living creatures-was uploaded to a shared database and from there fed to other players, so that a unique kind of creature created by one player could appear in other players’ universes. The game received high praise from critics, who praised the game’s extraordinary scale and the ability for players to create their own unique creatures, buildings, and vehicles; however, critics found the gameplay at most stages of Spore too primitive and bland; the use of the SecuROM copyright protection tech also garnered criticism.
The game is an “evolutionary simulation. The player is given the ability to choose the size, appearance, and path the creature follows.

The game is divided into several stages. At the end of one stage, the result of his actions is read and a special bonus is given, based on the actions, which will affect the subsequent stages. As you pass the stages, the creature physically changes. When passing, for example, you can notice the change in height relative to other creatures (using the example of the hologram used on the planets in the stage “Space.

At the beginning the player chooses a planet (there are always 6 free planets to choose from), on which his creatures will live. The initial stage of the game is chosen. At first you can choose only the first stage “Cage”, but as you pass the rest of the stages will become available for selection. Using the console commands, it is possible to open all levels at the beginning of the game.
